Orfe Pool

The Orfe Pool is the largest of our day ticket fishing pools. This is a runs water fishing pool, set over 1.4 acres and boasts 42 pegs. All pegs are easy to access, with two larger pegs with rails which are suited for disabled access. The larger pegs also make for great teaching pegs for those new to fishing or wanting to broaden their catches!

The Orfe Pool is an open water fishing lake, with depths up to 6-8ft in areas and a silt/clay pool bottom.

The Orfe Pool fishing pegs have been completely restructured, beautifully finished with a new gravel path added that leads the whole way around the pool. The most popular pegs at this pool are 1, 21, 23, 40, 42; make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment if you want to grab these pegs!

The pool is well-stocked, filled with hard fighting mirror, command, and grass carp, weighing up to 18lbs. The Orfe is also stocked with bream, tench and silverfish. This is one of the most popular fishing match pools at Spring Lea, with past matches recording weights over 100lbs. A little tip from us when fishing at this pool – use hard pellets or corn to improve your chances of a great catch! During the summer months, the fish can often be found feeding right on the margins.

Please note – fishery pellets and landing nets must be used at the Orfe fishing pool. Please bring a landing net handle with you when visiting.
